What is the reasoning behind your pricing?
To provide clarity on our pricing structure, it's important to understand the various components involved in animation production. Each step in the process requires significant time, skill, and expertise, from initial concept to the final animated piece. These key stages include storyboard creation, character design, keyframe and in-between animation, as well as coloring and other post-production work.
Here’s a general breakdown of industry-standard pricing for freelance animators:
Storyboard: $100 - $1,000+ per minute
Character Design: $200 - $1,500+ per character (assuming 2 characters for this example)
Keyframe Animation: $50 - $500+ per keyframe or second of animation (assuming 60 seconds for 1-minute animation)
In-between Animation: $25 - $100+ per second of animation (assuming 60 seconds for 1-minute animation)
Coloring Frames: $20 - $100 per frame (we’ll assume 24 frames per second)
Audio: $500 - $2,000+ for sound effects, voiceovers, and background music (depending on complexity)
Now, calculating for 1 minute of animation:
Storyboard: $100 - $1,000
Character Design: $200 - $1,500 (per character) × 2 characters = $400 - $3,000
Keyframe Animation: $50 - $500 × 60 seconds = $3,000 - $30,000
In-between Animation: $25 - $100 × 60 seconds = $1,500 - $6,000

At our studio, we offer competitive rates, charging between $6,000 to $12,000 for a 1-minute animation project. This includes all of the essential services to deliver a polished, professional final product.

We understand that flexibility is key, which is why we offer a range of affordable payment plans tailored to your needs. You can choose from popular options like Affirm, Afterpay, and Klarna. With these services, you can enjoy payments for a $1,500 (15 secs) service ranging between $65, $125, or $250 a month.
If you don't qualify for Affirm, Klarna, or Afterpay, no worries! Try our exclusive Sj2kproject's payment plan. You'll pay a minimum monthly of $250 to help keep our doors open.
