Dragon Ball Super Returns with the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga!

Senior Journalist -

For the first time in years, the Saiyans are back in action—Dragon Ball Super has officially been announced to return! The news dropped just about an hour ago, sending the anime community into a frenzy across social media. According to the official announcement, the new series will pick up directly with the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga, marking the long-awaited return of Goku, Vegeta, and their cosmic adventures following the Tournament of Power and Broly film events.

This arc introduces a fresh storyline centered on the Galactic Patrol and the mysterious villain, Moro, a powerful sorcerer who devours planets for energy. Longtime fans of the manga have been eager to see this saga animated, and after years of speculation, it’s finally happening. A trailer was release during the announcement.

The trailer opens by flashing through iconic manga panels and art from Akira Toriyama’s original Dragon Ball Super run before shifting into motion, giving fans a taste of the new anime’s visual tone. As the imagery builds, we see Goku and Vegeta framed alongside the Galactic Patrol, setting the stage for a cosmic-scale conflict against the ominously teased “Planet-Eater” Moro.

The production details are still emerging, but early sources hint that the series will showcase updated animation, possibly under supervision from Toei Animation’s new production team, which worked on Dragon Ball Daima. Expectations are sky-high as the fandom gears up for what could be one of 2026’s most anticipated anime comebacks.

Stay tuned Dragon Ball Super is back, and the galaxy’s about to tremble once more! Trailer in the comments.
